200TH POST - OWN THE SALOON T-SHIRT

Evening all, what a milestone, this is my 200th post! This is also the start of my third year of blogging and trying to be as creative as I can when it comes to sharing my passion, style and fashion inspiration. It's earned me a lot of like-minded friends I can talk all about fashion and rock n' roll style. Amazingly it's also brought people who are interested in how I wear and style my own pieces! This is why I've come up with the idea of celebrating my 200th post by giving you all the chance to own some individual, rock n' roll, vintage pieces, selected by me.

Over the next two weeks I'll be selling my own curated, killer cool, vintage pieces that I've spotted while out shopping. I'll style these items into outfits, showcasing them to you via my blog and instagram, showing you how unique, eye catching and most importantly sustainable vintage is!

So I guess you've all scrolled down by now and you'll have seen my first epic seventies t-shirt. As soon as I spotted this black tee I knew it would look so damn cool on. The saloon it advertises is The Gilded Garter Saloon Colorado which as you can see from this photograph was the height of popularity in 1972.

The t-shirt is made from 50% cotton and 50% polyester and is super comfortable to wear. The bright yellow type across the chest of the tee is killer, I love the western lettering and sweet logo of a women's leg wearing a garter and what looks like to be a fine pair of heels. This seventies American tee brings a Quentin Tarantino esc feel which I absolutely adore. It's just effortlessly cool, no questions asked.

DIOR SAUVAGE

Evening guys, in tonight's post I want to talk to you about Dior's new Sauvage fragrance. I still have a small bottle of the last and first Sauvage Dior released, but this new parfum is a fragrance I personally can't get enough ofThe new Sauvage exudes a smooth citrus orange aroma which I absolutely adore, I've always loved the aftershave but with this new added juicy citrus note it brings a new powerful, masculine dimension to the smell, which is even more up my street!

It only takes three sprays, one on each side of the neck and the third rubbed into the back of the wrists to have you smelling great all night long, the fragrance only changing very subtly as it warms into your skin. It's a very warm summer aroma in my opinion, the freshness of the mandarin citrus aroma comes first, then after the parfum ages on the skin you also start to smell hints of leather and wood, along with fresh peppery note that seem to cling to you for hours on end, getting better and better as each hour passes.

My family and friends have all commented on my new fragrance upon meeting them, it's an aftershave which is instantly recognised when entering a room or getting close to someone, which is always a good thing, I always think smelling great always gives you that little bit extra, that point of difference, that thing that people will always refer to and remember you by and Dior's Sauvage is mine.

The creator of Dior's Sauvage said "For this new parfum I kept the powerful soul of Sauvage intact by giving it nocturnal accents. An animal attraction and some rounder facets". Personally I normally wear aftershave more often on a night-time rather than any other point of the day, it all depends on where I'm going or whom I'm meeting I suppose, but this quote resonates with me as I love the mystery this fragrance surrounds you in.

As you can probably figure out from my film below, I've not heard back from the lists of people I've contacted this week regarding video content, meaning one thing, get used to films starring me!

I decided to make this film with the fragrance & myself being the focus. I've edited an uber cool backdrop of a palm tree on fire, because what's cooler than a palm tree, on fire! I tried to make this fake ad for Dior look as cool as I could, with LA and the desert on my mind. Hopefully I've given Mr. Depp a run for his money. I'm actually quite impressed what I've managed to make with a tripod, light and wall in my bedroom pretending to impersonate Mick Jagger but I think it works.

You can explore more of the fragrance by visiting Dior or clicking the link to The Perfume Shop here.

Cheers for checking in and reading,

CHECK MATE

Hey guys Happy New Year & welcome back to my blog! 2020 has started with a bang and this is my first post of the new year as well as the decade! You might have followed my blog for a while now or this might be the very first time you've checked it out! 2020 is my third year of having my blog and I'm super excited to see what comes my way and everything I'm going to discover this year!
Hopefully they'll be more killer posts plus a lot more tips on what you all wanna find out! I'll kick things off by showing you all, one of my Christmas presents, this very sexy grey and black check coat.

I've been wanting a dark check coat for a very long time, since spotting one in All Saints years ago, the biggest mistake then was, I didn't get it at the time! Classic case of buyers regret! Ever since then I've been longing for a coat like it. A long flowing length of material with a simple check pattern with a fitted & tailored style.

I was in T.K.Maxx of all place's when the sleeve of this coat jumped out at me, grabbing my attention from the overflowing rail of jackets and coats. I'd only gone into T.K.Maxx to kill time as that day I'd walked into town and forgotten my wallet, classic! I gave it a try on in the fitting room then decided a walk back to the flat for my wallet was now called for, I wasn't going to let a coat like this slip through my fingers for the second time.

I collected the jacket and finally paid, it was the coat I'd been looking for since my All Saints days. My parents kindly offered to  buy me the coat for one of my Christmas presents - Legends! Sadly this meant one thing, it got put away till the big day.

It's pretty much not been off my back since Boxing Day so I thought why not feature it across on my blog. I also got this amazing grey cashmere scarf from Marks & Sparks which even though I'm not over 70, adds a cool little detail to the outfit and makes the coat look even better with a complementing block grey colour.

This coat is a piece I've been desperately needing, something to make me feel smart when wearing, and a coat I can throw on and rock with any outfit. I think it looks the part and makes for a very timeless look. I was super lucky with the photographs, heading to this wall at the perfect time during the day, catching the long shadows just before the sun disappeared entirely. The coat only cost £59 but styled up with accessories and a crisp white shirt I think it looks a lot more expensive than it actually was.

I've actually found this coat across on Asos too, it's a little bit more than I paid, but still a steal for the price. Here's the link to check the coat out on Asos, sadly they only have it in large, but I imagine if it's on there, it might be also found elsewhere with a little more digging online.

Thanks for reading,
