GOOD MORNING KEITH - DYLAN POLKA DOT SHIRT

Evening guys, how are you all? Tonight I'm back talking about one of my favourite smaller brands - Good Morning Keith. You may remember seeing some of their pieces I've been lucky enough to have been given over the years, including t-shirts, bandanna's and a handful of detail scarfs, which I have absolutely adore and have all been amazing, oozing that 70's style! This is the first shirt I've been given from the G.M.K and I can tell you it feels as looks as good as everything else they create!

I just love the over size polka-dot motif of the Dylan shirt, it's a killer twist on the standard smaller dots your normally would find with the pattern. I think the shirt looks undeniably & effortlessly cool, I love the cut and feel of the shirt not to mention that slightly over exaggerated collar, a nod to the seventies era and styling.

A lot of Good Morning Keith's materials are recycled and are sourced from big Parisian fashion houses. This material is dead stock which means that it's either unwanted or would go unused. This is until G.M.K step in and save the material to create amazing garments from this high standard textile.

I also styled the shirt with a vintage leather I found recently, I think these two items really complement one another, both looking as if they've come straight out the seventies themselves! If you head across to my instagram -@theunidentifiedrocker you'll be able to watch a small video I also filmed while shooting, which also captured a sweet vibe!

VINTAGE 70'S LEATHER FIND

Hey guys, I'm back with another new one and this week I'm talking about a vintage leather I picked up from Liverpool. I love vintage shopping, it's something I do often. You go out not expecting anything, then you stumble upon a retro gem you couldn't live without, and that's exactly what happened to me a few weeks ago.

I found this amazing maroon leather jacket in COW Liverpool, a vintage shop right in the middle of bustling Bold Street. I like to look through both the men and women sides of the shop, so as I was following CJ through the endless rails of vintage clothing I spotted this 70's gem. It fit like a glove, not normally the case when buying second-hand as its usually not so tailored, but this was a very rare exception. There's nothing worse than finding the best things, trying them on and it all just fitting terribly. Fortunately with this jacket, it was definitely meant to be and I knew I had to buy it there and then!

I love the cut and panelling of the jacket, it has that cowboy-esque look, the sharp angles and curves of the leather sections are very western, I bloody love it. The colour is also something I fell for, injecting a vintage palette into my wardrobe is exactly what I needed. Don't get me wrong, I like my black leathers but sometimes you just want a change, especially as Autumn is fast approaching.

I wanted to reflect where the piece had originally started its life, so I chose to go very retro with this look. I decided on wearing my darted collar shirt over the leather which looks like its straight out of a 1970's Carnaby Street. Of course, not forgetting an iconic piece from that era, a pair of flares (which are actually CJ's) to capture the look.

This is also the first time I've worn my scarf from Good Morning Keith - which up to this point I haven't found an outfit it's worked with enough until this one. I think the colours really complement one another and it's the perfect finishing touch to my 70's inspired outfit. I added my vintage inspired belt from Savage and took my white Cuban's for a walk to top the outfit off.

This weeks new YouTube is all about my vintage leather where you get to check it out in a little more detail. Plus you can also catch up with yours truly for a chat, if you're not subscribed to my channel, click the red button. I'm getting closer to the big thousand subscribers.

GOOD MORNING KEITH - YOU GOT THE LOVE

Hello and good evening, this is my second dedicated post featuring (I'm going to say it) the most favourite brand I've ever discovered via Instagram - Good Morning Keith. If you want to know more about the brand you can see my first post on the Parisian, 70's clothing line at the bottom of this one.

Hopefully you caught the first post, so let's kick this new one off, I wanted this post to be as 70's inspired as possible and to reflect the uber-cool vibe the brand already portrays online. With the location picked and the tee they kindly gifted me styled, I was ready to go, and lucky to bag myself one of Manchester's finest photographers - introducing my mate Deniss.

I've not collaborated with a photographer for my blog shoots for quite a while now, so working with the main man was something refreshing, bringing in new idea's and ways we could make this shoot look as cool as possible. Deniss brought a selection of his old lens's and we snapped this group of photographs last Saturday morning after overloading ourselves with coffee.

The t-shirt I want to show you all is GMK's 'LOVE' tee which is 100% organic and made in France's capital city Paris. I wore this with one of their super delicate 'Mick' bandanna's, hand finished by Paulette herself to give my outfit the ultimate vintage style. This bandanna is stitched around the hem and a GMK logo sits proudly on the right side of the tie.

The love tee has some super cool furry 70's velvet lettering and gives the tee an extra dimension not to mention a seventies 'stroke ability'. I also decided to roll the sleeves of my t-shirt up very slightly, as this adds a small touch to the very simple outfit, worn with black skinnies and pointed heeled boots I think it made for a sweet vintage styled look.

I love this new part of Manchester I found myself in. Leaving my flat, I'm discovering more and more about this part of the city. Its  one of the best locations I've found in the city for a while, as you can see, some are photographed A LOT! It even rained a little just before we started the shoot meaning the cobble stones and surrounding's looked even better especially in my normal b&w.

I've known of GMK since late last year and I can say it is one of the coolest brands out there, definitely one of those to watch out for in the future. The models, videos, photographs, quality of garments and general cool that seems to ooze out of everything Good Morning Keith produce.

If you've not already, head across to their website to find out more and support this epic small business! To see more of the t-shirts and accessories I was given click below and watch my YouTube.
