VINTAGE SHOPPING

Evening guys. Are you ready to get full on vintage? I sure am and I have some killer pieces to show you tonight along with an epic YouTube for you to watch too! I bloody love vintage. The thrill of finding an absolute gem in a pile of clothing or hidden in a packed rail is just the best feeling ever! I recently visited Edinburgh, which is one of the best places I've ever been for finding vintage gems. The city centre is just packed with one-off vintage emporiums, full of topnotch pieces.

I found all three of the items I'm showing you tonight in one of the many Armstrongs Vintage emporiums. I think they have three shops scattered around the centre of Edinburgh, which are all well worth checking out if you ever visit! The western shirt was the first I spotted, its a girls style but in my book, a shirt is a shirt. If you can pull it off and more importantly if it fits, you got to get it! I love the print of this shirt, the horseshoe motif is just full on western, as well as the brown twisted rope tying them all together, it's all round epic.

Next up we have the green leather bomber and I'll let you into a secret - I've always hated these. I've never liked the whole elastic sleeve cuffs and hem line on any jacket, especially a bomber but as you can see, with me now sporting this deep green leather, an exception HAD to be made. I love everything about it, from its aged green leather, tarnished and cracked. To the chunky dark forest colour zip it has up the middle and how all the panel's are cut perfectly so yeah, I guess the elastic hems too!

I dressed this on top of a simple white shirt. Threw over a tiger print scarf for an added small detail and rocked some simple black skinnies. I think this makes for an epic vintage look, all centred around the jacket which I think is cool as fuck.

Last but not least, we have the coolest suede I have seen in a long time. Yes these shots were taken in the same location as the shirt. I wore both of them in an outfit together - two birds & all that! This suede on top of the western shirt worked like a dream, both complementing one another and looking super cool. When we found it in one of the vintage stores, I was actually already checking out the fit of the green bomber in the mirror when my girlfriend Louisa pulled this banger from the middle of the rail, turning to me and saying "You gotta get this one too" she was right, I couldn't leave without it, it was mine.

The mix of brown leather & suede on the jacket makes for an incredible pairing, something you'd see the likes of Saint Laurent designing today. This I guess is what I like to look for in vintage shops, that's when I know I've struck gold. I look for those pieces that you'd lust after on the SLP catwalk. For instance this weekend back home I picked up a full length wool coat in a ruby red colour with a black velour collar for £10 but that's a whole new post in itself, you'll have to stay tuned for that one!

I hope you liked the pieces I picked up in Edinburgh, as I say it's the top of my to do when I visit the city, make sure when you visit you have a long list of vintage shops to check out, you won't be disappointed! Louisa & myself do have a lot of super cool vintage items we've being collecting over the past few months plus a handful I've had in my wardrobe for years which we are planning on selling over the next few weeks on Instagram and Depop, so if you want to get yourself an epic piece, bare with us! It's guys & girls by the way!

As always,
Cheers for reading,

VINTAGE

Evening guys, we have ourselves a Wednesday night post, we've not had one of them in a while! It also feels like we need a catch up! I've been busy, actually busy! Yeah, I took six weeks off to spice up another boring, depressing, monotonous lockdown but I'm now back and feeling great! I also feel super lucky and grateful to have took that time away, so big shout to everyone and the universe for lining that up for me. New surroundings, a fresh, clear mind, the best company, plus lots of country walks, cooking . . and a little bit too much alcohol is just what the doctor ordered and exactly what I needed!

Basically the past few months have been a blast, when you're in a better mood you really do manifest more and more, when you raise your vibration you attract bigger and better opportunities and forces into your life, I fully believe that! You become magnetic to positive vibrations and that's the way I'm keeping it from here on out! After been in Hexham only a few weeks I found myself getting a handful of  projects come in, as well as keeping myself entertained by selling my vintage items and a lot of boots!

I can't wait to share some of the projects I've been lucky enough to plan, and execute over the last few months, especially the film and series of photographs I have shot in London for jewellery brand Clocks & Colours, it's fucking cool one, so keep your eyes peeled for that one, they'll be a blog post all about it I'm sure! What's also been amazing is seeing you guys wearing my vintage picks, I've seen how you guys have rocked and styled all the pieces I've sold, you guys look super cool! I just can't wait to get back out there to buy more vintage, I've missed shopping and thrifting so much! I'm planning on curating another collection, full of killer looks for that summer sunshine, ready to rock n' roll!

Cheers for reading,
Sending those positive vibrations and energy your way

KICKING OFF 2021 WITH VINTAGE

Hey guys, welcome back, and let's all say hello to 2021! Tonight I'm kicking off the new year with a vintage jacket I found a few weeks back. The post isn't just about this particular jacket though, it also has inspired me with a lot of fresh ideas and given me much needed motivation to start the new year - pretty good going for just a jacket!

So what's my idea, well, I sort of touched on it this time last year, buying and selling a handful of vintage pieces via my Instagram. However, this year is a whole lot different, I desperately wanted to start the year with a project & since we find ourselves in fucking lockdown again I decided I'd kick the year off on my terms and give myself a personal project. It'll be something I can channel my creative energy and focus into, as we find ourselves in tier four. So with all those idea's in my head he's decided to join Depop. Hopefully this will make it a lot easier for you guys to check out my vintage gems - keep an eye on my brand new account for some epic vintage jackets coming your way very soon - click the link and follow me be the first to see them across on - Depop

I've put a lot of work into sourcing these latest pieces (which I'll show you over the next few weeks). The plan being - to shoot the items in a very individual & creative way, making a small, mini campaign with the collection of pieces I've curated. Vintage is so individual, and damn right cool, not to mention environmentally friendly, reusing clothing rather than buying brand new or throwing away, I've got my hands on everything from leather jackets to suede bikers and everything in-between and all pieces are 10/10, lets hope I'll be able to part with them. For me the best way to start 2021 is by styling, wearing and loving these pieces from the past, so buckle up for a killer year of vintage!

I've always loved vintage and it's always been a big part of my wardrobe, interchanging it with my looks always gives me an edge no one can replicate, giving my outfits a cool & individual look. This year I'm making even more of a conscious effort to buy, wear and sell a lot more killer vintage. I mean take this 70's suede, I couldn't just go out and buy something similar, it's not that easy. This jacket is so unique, cool and it fits me like a dream. Paired with a monotone polka dot shirt and my killer lace up styled jeans from Tigha, this outfit screams seventies rock and roll.

Its belt wrap and awesome western detailing make this jacket quite a statement, it looks sweet worn open and even pretty sexy tied and held shut with the metal buckle. The collar line and opening of this seventies beauty is to die for, over exaggerated and pointed, the cut and lines to this jacket are all perfect. I'll keep you guys in the loop of when I'll be selling some sexy vintage, but for now Happy New Year

Peace & Love,
Let's make 2021 a year where we all ace it!
