STRIKE

Hello guys, hope you're all good. Tonight I'm showing you this killer bowling shirt I actually picked up on Asos last week (which is now stocking Topman by the way). I wouldn't normally go for something like this because of the colour, but since the weather has been remarkably different here I thought why not do the same and change up that classic colour palette of mine!

Without further ado, here's me in a light shade of pink - yeah you read right, pink! To be honest, I quite like rocking this new colour and after all, you don't get weather like we've had over the past week very often, especially in Manchester! This bowling shirt with a Cuban collar is the perfect remedy I needed for that hot, sticky weather we all had last week.

Since it was that warm I didn't even shoot with my trusty hat on, the hair as you can see was swept back. I also wore the shirt open with a black tee. I paired it with my purple lens glasses and decided on rolling the contrasting black sleeves of the shirt up a few inch's which I think made for the perfect summer outfit. I loved this shirt a lot more than I first anticipated, the colour of it made me slightly weary but now I think this bold colour actually makes the shirt, as it frames the placket and collar line against the lighter shade of pink.

I went for the shirt in my usual small sizes and it fits like a dream, its the perfect length for a bowling shirt plus has that added detail of a sharp Cuban style collar. As I mentioned across on my YouTube channel, I decided to play the necklaces down in this particular outfit, just going for one statement piece which I think works when the shirt is worn open with a simple black tee.

Rock N' Roll,

THE WHITE SHIRT OF THE SUMMER

Evening all, what a post I have for you tonight. I've stumbled upon the white shirt of the summer! I know this shirt is going to become one of my go-to white shirts of the season! Let's kick things off with why this particular item caught my eye. I don't have to say anything else other than just look at that Cuban neckline. I love everything about this shirt and think everyone should have this in their wardrobe this summer!

The shirt is one of my favourite styles, the cut is very relaxed and oversized which makes for the perfect holiday shirt. Just imagine, a warm summers night abroad, gradually developing a tan, then being able to throw this killer shirt on your back and button up in an effortlessly cool way. It's going to look pretty damn cool. It's made from a super smooth, lightweight viscose which drapes over the shoulders which in my opinion looks a lot more expensive than it actually is.

Getting back to that pointed collar, I love the sharp angles and its wide open neckline, I always wear my shirts in this manner, but  this collar design is more prominent and has a lot more structure than loosening a couple of buttons. I mentioned across on my YouTube video this week that this sharp collar would look amazing under a fitted suit jacket in a contrasting colour, which again is a major style this SS19.

You may not notice on my photographs but the chest placket detail is also quite a nice small detail. The double viscose layer where the shirt fastens up gives a stronger white to the chest placket which frames the shirt nicely when wearing. The shirt was only £22, which as you can see for the inexpensive price looks pretty good if you ask me. The shirt also comes in a short sleeve version for even less, and is also available in black. The only two colours I need in my wardrobe!
