ALESSANDRO VASINI

Evening guys, tonight's post is dedicated to a very special pair of boots and wait for it - a pair of trainers too! Yeah trainers, who would have thought it? I've not worn anything apart from boots in years, but I thought this pair were well worth making an exception for. Alessandro Vasini is the new boot brand on the block, the man behind the brand is Alessandro. I've had the pleasure of speaking to this guy over the phone, and I can tell you he is an all round legend! He's a true rock and roll advocate, a guitarist and a craftsman. He began creating shoes as an apprentice from the age of just fifteen, Alessandro has the knowledge, experience and rock n' roll direction for big things in the shoe game.

I've really enjoyed working with Alessandro and his brand. Over the last few weeks, I've collaborated with the brand creating some stand out imagery and filmed a short campaign video for his Black Texas Boot, which I'll be sharing soon as I've literally just finished it today! I'm super proud of my work, and I truly love this brand, so I thought I'd share everything I've created with you all in this post, and across on Instagram. Alessandro Vasini oozes rock and roll, if they're not on your radar already - they certainly need to be!

Let's move onto the shoes... I'll kick things off by telling you all about one of my favourite boots from the collection - The Texas Boot. I mean, look how sexy that silhouette is! The boots have the most perfect shaped heel, not to mention, just the right height, ticking all my boxes that I look for in a great boot. The Texas is crafted from the finest Italian calf leather and comes with a harness fastening and silver zip, embellished with three small silver rose of the wind studs. These three studs represent; the traveller and adventurous spirit of life on the road. I love the meaning behind the symbol and their prominent placement on the boot fastenings.

I shot these beauties against a raw urban backdrop, I really wanted to reflect how cool Alessandro's footwear is, and to let the shoes do all the talking. I feel this location and shoot setup, along with the lone wooden chair made a real statement, and showcased the shoes, as well as the rock and roll brand aesthetic.

Up next we have the Rocker High Top. It must have been around five years since my foot has been anywhere near a trainer, I'm a boot guy through and through. You know me, a pair of boots are as much a staple as my trusty hat! The Rocker is made again from a smooth, soft calf leather and has a super comfortable chunky rubber sole.

The trainer is stitched all round for long lasting wear, to tell you the truth I've been wearing these all week, as I find them so damn comfortable, I think I've become a trainer convert! The best part of the Rockers, has to be the lyrics inscribed on the outside of each shoe: 'It's only rock n' roll... but I like it'. Any shoe which references The Rolling Stones has to be up there for me!

If you want to discover more about Alessandro's story and amazing footwear I thoroughly recommend checking out his website. You can also get up close and personal with these two killer shoes, across on my YouTube channel this week by clicking below -

GOOD MORNING KEITH - DYLAN POLKA DOT SHIRT

Evening guys, how are you all? Tonight I'm back talking about one of my favourite smaller brands - Good Morning Keith. You may remember seeing some of their pieces I've been lucky enough to have been given over the years, including t-shirts, bandanna's and a handful of detail scarfs, which I have absolutely adore and have all been amazing, oozing that 70's style! This is the first shirt I've been given from the G.M.K and I can tell you it feels as looks as good as everything else they create!

I just love the over size polka-dot motif of the Dylan shirt, it's a killer twist on the standard smaller dots your normally would find with the pattern. I think the shirt looks undeniably & effortlessly cool, I love the cut and feel of the shirt not to mention that slightly over exaggerated collar, a nod to the seventies era and styling.

A lot of Good Morning Keith's materials are recycled and are sourced from big Parisian fashion houses. This material is dead stock which means that it's either unwanted or would go unused. This is until G.M.K step in and save the material to create amazing garments from this high standard textile.

I also styled the shirt with a vintage leather I found recently, I think these two items really complement one another, both looking as if they've come straight out the seventies themselves! If you head across to my instagram -@theunidentifiedrocker you'll be able to watch a small video I also filmed while shooting, which also captured a sweet vibe!

You can check out my other posts about G.M.K here - The Love T-Shirt, plus an introduction to Good Morning Keith where you can find out a little more about the brand, visit their website here - Good Morning Keith. Check out this weeks YouTube where I chat a little more about the brand and give you a closer look at the sexy Dylan Shirt.

Cheers,

STARS IN YOUR EYES

You may have seen this jumper across on my Instagram feed a few weeks back but since a lot of you got in touch to ask me where I'd found it, here's a post with all the info you need. I spotted this jumper in the strangest of places, where I'd never of imagined buying anything from - where I hear you ask? Well . . .  It was the women's knitwear section of M&S! Of course it was!

After seeing it in store and not buying it there and then, I really couldn't get the jumper out of my mind, I was literally seeing stars (sorry I couldn't not) thinking to myself how cool it would look styled with a biker jacket! I'm always a huge fan of any star print and I've never seen a jumper with this large print motif before. After a few days of weighing up my options, you know thinking if I could pull a women's jumper off,  I decided just to take a risk.

I knew this jumper was on the small side but I never thought I'd have to purchase a size 14! Even with this big size jump I still find the jumper to be a little small on the arms, however, I fear the next size would have been a little to baggy and wide on me. The star jumper is a fun piece for a very inexpensive price, I'd hope you agree with me when I say the jumper looks sweet with this rock and roll styled outfit. I'd say its pretty versatile too either for a girl or a guy, you'd never be able to tell once the jumper is styled up in your own individual way.
